What is Physical Therapy?

Physical Therapists, or PTs are health care professionals who evaluate and treat patients with health problems resulting from injury or disease. PTs are licensed in New York after passing a national examination and earning the minimum educational requirement of a four-year college degree in physical therapy from an accredited educational program. Currently most programs are transitioning from a Master's Degree to a Doctorate.
