
Doreen Frank is a 1981 graduate of SUNY Upstate Medical Center where she earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Physical Therapy. Prior to establishing Columbia Physical Therapy, P.C. in 1987 with her husband Bob, she worked in Brooklyn, San Francisco and Seattle. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association with membership in the Sections on Private Practice, Orthopedics, Women's Health Care and Sports PT.
Doreen chaired the New York Physical Therapy Association's Legislative Committee from 1992 to 2003 and is a past recipient of the American Physical Therapy Association's State Legislative Leadership Award and the New York Chapter's Outstanding Service to Chapter award. She was also the recipient of the Doreen Frank Legislative Leadership Award, an award given to those who serve the NY Chapter of the APTA. She remains a consultant to the Legislative Committee. In 1986, she became certified by the Neurodevelopmental Treatment Association for treatment of Adult Hemiplegia. In 1991, she earned certification in Isenhagen Work System Functional Capacity Evaluations, Work Conditioning, Functional Job Analysis and Pre-Work Screening.
In 2009, Doreen was certified by Atlas Ergonomics, LLC and was qualified to join the Atlas network as a full-service provider. After rigorous training and testing in the specific needs of employees in call centers, commercial transportation and public transit, as well as in general office settings, she now joins the nation's largest provider of ergonomics services to employers. Known for its results-based ergonomics programs, Atlas works with its nationwide network of physical therapists, occupational therapists, and ergonomists to reduce work-related injuries among employees, with an emphasis on measurable, bottom-line results.
Bob Frank is the full time administrator for Columbia Physical Therapy. After graduating with a Bachelor’s of Science in Physical Therapy from SUNY at Upstate Medical Center in 1987, Bob earned his Doctorate in Chiropractic from Palmer – West in Sunnyvale California in 1986. He established Columbia Chiropractic in 1988 along with Columbia Physical Therapy in 1987. In 2001, he became the full time administrator of Columbia Physical Therapy. Bob served in the US Air Force from 1976-1980. He is also a member of the American Physical Therapy Association.
Gina Roemer graduated from Russell Sage College in 2000 with a BS/MS degree in Physical Therapy. Later in 2006, she was awarded a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Massachusetts General Hospital's Institute of Health Professions. Additionally, she also earned certification as a strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) which is geared for professionals who design and implement strength and conditioning programs for athletes.
Gina joined the staff of Columbia Physical Therapy in 2000 and is the Director of Clinical Operations. She enjoys a combination of orthopedic PT, aquatic PT, one-on-one strength training and pre-work screens. She is available for community talks and workshops.
Gina is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association as well as the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Her favorite pastimes include running and spending time with family.

Denise Bilka is a 1996 graduate of Russell Sage College where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy.
In addition to her college degree, Denise has attended continuing education courses with training in the McKenzie Method for management of low back and cervical pain, as well as Anodyne/MIRE therapy for management of neuropathy. She earned certification in the WorkWell Systems Functional Capacity Evaluation, Work Conditioning, and Pre Work Screens.
Denise joined the staff of Columbia Physical Therapy in 1997 where she enjoys a combination of orthopedic and aquatic PT, pre-work screens, and Functional Capacity Evaluations.
Denise is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her son and going to the gym.
Karen Haber graduated from the State University at Buffalo in 1997 with a BS degree in Physical Therapy. She spent her first year working at Maria Parham Hospital in North Carolina treating patients in the hospital and outpatient clinic.
In 1998 Karen joined the staff of Columbia Physical Therapy. In 2000 she earned her certification to perform Isernhagen WorkWell Systems Functional Capacity Evaluations, Work Conditioning, Functional Job Analysis, and Pre-Work Screens. In 2001 Karen became a credentialed clinical instructor through the American Physical Therapy Association. She is the acting Coordinator of clinical education at Columbia PT.
Karen has been a member of the American Physical Therapy Association since 1997. She has a special interest in balance and vestibular rehabilitation, and is available for community talks on balance and fall prevention.
Adrienne graduated from Simmons College in 2006 with a DPT degree in Physical Therapy. In 2006, Adrienne joined the staff of Columbia Physical Therapy. She enjoys a combination of orthopedic PT, aquatic PT, and has a special interest in women’s health services. She is available for community talks and workshops.
Adrienne is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association. Among other sports, she enjoys skiing, biking, and running, and has participated in the Corporate Challenge with the CPT team since 2007.
Stefanie is a 2007 graduate of Springfield College where she earned a MS degree in Physical Therapy. Stefanie joined the staff of Columbia Physial Therapy in 2007. She enjoys a combination of orthopedic and post-surgical patients, as well as sports physical therapy.
Stefanie has been a member of the American Physical Therapy Association since 2004. In her free time she enjoys running, swimming, and competitive sports, especially indoor soccer.
Carolyn Becker graduated from Russell Sage College in 2002 with a BS/MS in Physical Therapy. Carolyn joined the staff of Columbia Physical Therapy in 2002. Carolyn is interested in treating post-surgical, neurologic, and orthopedic patients.
Ijunanya (Naya) Holder, PT, DPT
Naya is a 2005 graduate of Temple University earning a doctorate in Physical Therapy. She has been working with Columbia Physical Therapy since 2005 and has a special interest in working with the geriatric population to improve orthopedic & neurological impairments.
Amy Travis graduated from Maria College in 1989 with an AAS degree in Physical Therapy. After working with geriatric patients for 3 years, she joined the staff of Columbia Physical Therapy in1992 as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Although Amy is skilled in treating all diagnoses she has a particular interest in orthopedic and sports medicine. Amy is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association with membership in the Section on Orthopedics. In her free time, Amy enjoys going to the gym, running, playing softball and spending time with her two children.
Andrew Stewart graduated from Maria College in 1995 with an AAS degree in Physical Therapy. He joined the staff of Columbia Physical Therapy in1995 as a Physical Therapy Assistant. Andrew has particular interest in orthopedics and sports physical therapy as well as our work hardening program.
Susan graduated from Maria College in 1995 with an AAS degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant. She joined the staff of Columbia Physical Therapy in 1995 as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
Susan enjoys working with a wide variety of patients. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and is a certified Tai-Chi instructor.
Jenn graduated from Maria College in 2000 with a AAS degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Jenn joined our staff in 2000 shortly after graduating and doing a clinical rotation here. She enjoys the diversity of the field because she is able to assist many different clients such as geriatric, athletic, post-surgical and pediatric patients.
Dan Grinmanis graduated from Indian River State College in Ft. Pierce, Florida with a Physical Therapy Assistant Degree. Since then he has obtained the Advanced Technical Certificate ( ATC )in advanced manual techniques that enabled him to sit for the National Certificate in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork exam. His extensive experience draws from a background of Orthopedics, Neurology, Musculoskeletal Disorders, Sports Medicine, Advance Manual Techniques and Gerontology to name a few. With dual degrees in Physical Therapy and Massage Therapy,
Dan is a well qualified and multi-faceted health care provider. He has been working in health care for over 18 years. Favorite past times include sailing, biking, hiking, snowshoeing, skiing, cooking, and most of all spending time with family.
Donna is an honors graduate from Maria College in 2000 earning her AAS as a physical therapist assistant. She also earned a BS degree in physical education and health from the University of Tampa in 1985. She has enjoyed a variety of PTA experiences including outpatient orthopedic, nursing home rehabilitation, and school-based therapy.
Donna has always been a competitive athlete. She was an All-American swimmer earning a 2nd place finish at the NCAA Division II Nationals in backstroke. She still enjoys running and continues to compete in road races.
Tija is originally from the Utica, NY area and graduated from New York Mills High School. She then went on to get her degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant from Herkimer County Community College in 2007. Tija was awarded the Presidential Scholarship Award and the Who’s Who Among Students Award.
In 2009 Tija joined the Columbia Physical Therapy team. She enjoys working with orthopedic and sports related injuries and has a special interest in geriatric care. In her spare time Tija enjoys many outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, and snowboarding.
Martha graduated from Springfield Technical Community College with an AAS degree in physical therapy in 1988. Over the years she worked in a variety of settings including aquatic therapy, orthopedic and home health services.
She joined the team at Columbia PT in 2009.
