The McKenzie Method is a specialized method of therapy used to treat neck and back pain. The methodology uses a mechanical diagnosis and the understanding of the spine’s normal curves to curtail a treatment for each patient. Whether from degenerative conditions, poor posture, disc disease, or injury, the curves of your spine can change. This treatment approach focuses on re-educating the spinal muscles to reduce pain and restore your normal spinal curves. The McKenzie Method may be used in adjunct with manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, modalities, and repeated motions to attain maximal results.
Patients will be educated on their specific spinal condition and how to minimize its progression. They will be taught a thorough home exercise routine, how to manage their pain, and proper posture and body mechanics to avoid re-injury.
