In 1992, Bob and Doreen Frank established a physical therapy office at the Valatie Medical Arts building. Upon visiting the office today, you will find a variety of different types of care rendered to the full span of ages. Physical therapists assist people who are experiencing pain or impaired function with the goal to return to their previous or even improved lifestyle. It is not unusual to see varying forms of exercise performed by those who seek care at Columbia Physical Therapy. Carolyn Becker, a physical therapist, enjoys modifying exercise programs so that it is customized to the needs of the injured person. She explains, "Often the individual who had an accident or surgery will be hesitant to start a new exercise but with the right coaching and explanation it is not long before they are well on their way to increasing their mobility or strength. This job provides much gratification to us since improvements are seen from start to finish."
Joining Becker at the Valatie office are Tony Pelizza, Susan Larsen, Donna Finck, Joe Pelizza and Eric Kelly. For more information, contact 758-7616 or info@columbiapt.com.
