Columbia PT Adds Staff

Columbia Physical Therapy in East Greenbush and Valatie has expanded their staff with the recent addition of Tija Hajdasz, PTA. After earning an Associates in Applied Science from Herkimer Community College, where she also received the NY Physical Therapy Association Student Leadership Award and the Presidential Scholar award, Hajdasz earned her NY State certification as a physical therapist assistant. She gained experience at two private physical therapy clinics in Duchess County before relocating to Rensselaer and joining Doreen and Bob Frank and associates.

According to Hajdasz, the opportunity to motivate people to recover from injury or surgery or even those who just seek to learn proper exercise to stay fit is a rewarding job to have. She especially enjoys the variety of cases that are referred to Columbia Physical Therapy. "The mix of weekend athletes, office workers or our geriatric patients means each day is different and challenging." Says Hajdasz.
