In 1987, Doreen and Bob Frank opened their physical therapy office named Columbia Physical Therapy, P.C. in East Greenbush. Now, 22 years later, they are still successfully serving the community they reside in.
For ten of the 22 years they were located at the Pond View Medical Arts building. During the last 5 years you might have visited them at the office located on Empire Drive off Route 4. Now they are excited to announce they are relocating to a new location in East Greenbush. Located just off Columbia Turnpike on Springhurst Drive (near the East Greenbush Animal Hospital), they will continue their tradition of offering quality physical therapy services to all ages. With changes in insurance plans, many people do not require a referral to physical therapy so be sure and call to inquire about your particular plan. Since 1992, Columbia Physical Therapy has also had an office in Valatie. Located in the Ocean State Job Lot Plaza, it offers evening and Saturday hours as does the East Greenbush office.
Physical therapists are health care professionals who diagnose and manage individuals of all ages who have medical problems or other health-related conditions that limit their abilities to move and perform functional activities in their daily lives. Physical therapists examine each individual and develop a plan of care using treatment techniques to promote the ability to move, reduce pain, restore function, and prevent disability. Physical therapists also work with individuals to prevent the loss of mobility by developing fitness- and wellness-oriented programs for healthier and more active lifestyles.
