Welcome to the Fitness Programs at Columbia Physical Therapy, P.C. Our fitness programs are only offered to previous patients in order to limit the membership and avoid wait time for equipment.

We now offer three exciting fitness program: an Independent Fitness Program, a supervised Aquatic Fitness Program and a One-on-One Training Program. These three options will allow you to select the exercise regimen that will best meet your needs and fitness level.

Aquatic Fitness Program

Aquatic therapy is an effective tool for a variety of diagnoses ranging from post-operative conditions, chronic injuries and athletic injuries. The buoyancy of the water and its natural resistance make aquatic exercise a unique therapeutic environment.

Our aquatic fitness program allows you to continue to attend our supervised aquatics classes after you are discharged from active physical therapy. These classes are held at the Greenbush YMCA. The heated pool has a deep and shallow end as well as a heated whirlpool, steam room and sauna that are available for your use after the class.

If you are interested in joining aquatic fitness, you must schedule through the receptionist at our East Greenbush office. Classes are offered on a first come basis and size is limited to 10, allowing personalized attention.

The aquatics classes are dynamic with a variety of approaches and the use of several types of aquatic equipment to maximize your gains.

Classes must be pre-paid. We accept cash, checks or credit cards for your convenience.

5 classes: $40.00 | 10 classes: $65.00 | 20 classes: $120.00

One-on-One Training

We are now offering one-on-one personalized training sessions. These sessions can be used to build and supervise an individualized exercise program or to revise your current program. What are your fitness goals? Are you looking to build strength, cardiovascular endurance or lean muscle mass?

Meet with a certified strength and conditioning specialist (C.S.C.S.) or one of our physical therapists to build a program with our current fitness level and goals in mind. Your one-on-one sessions will be customized to your specific needs.

Independent Fitness

Our Independent Fitness Program allows you to continue to use our gym after you are discharged from active physical therapy. Our gym has a full strengthening circuit comprised of 15 stations, as well as various aerobic conditioning equipment.

Upon approaching your final day of physical therapy your therapist can orient you to our fitness equipment. During this consult the therapist can address any questions you have, discuss your fitness goals and give advice on the various machines and exercises. This personalized attention will ensure that you have the best program to continue independently. If you are not a current patient or would like a review of the equipment, an orientation is available at a nominal fee.

Classes must be pre-paid. We accept cash, checks or credit cards for your convenience.

1 month: $40.00
3 months: $90.00 ($30.00 per month)
6 months: $150.00 ($25.00 per month)
12 months: $240.00 ($20.00 per month)

One month memberships are only available to new prospective members on a trial basis before deciding to sign up for a 3, 6 or 12 months.
